RIOGHNACH NI GHRIOGHAIR

Script Punk is Rioghnach Ní Ghrioghair, an award-winning writer, director and script consultant known for creating female-driven genre films.

She has worked as a development executive for top Irish production companies Samson Films, Tailored Films and Keeper Films, with many script editing credits for a wide range of genres, has worked in story rooms for television and earned the 2022 Aer Lingus Discovery Award with her acclaimed horror short, Don’t Go Where I Can’t Find You, which was selected for SXSW 2022 and nominated for an Irish Film and Television Academy Award.

Her other work includes other international festival-screened shorts, Break Us, the Iris Prize-nominated Do I Know You, and Neon, all supported by Screen Ireland. Her murder-mystery TV Movie, Balor Hall screened on Irish broadcaster RTE in 2022.Recognized as a Screen International Rising Star, nominated for the Emerging Director Award and a BBC Writers’ Room VOICES participant in 2023, she is developing her debut feature with Screen Ireland, among other works in development.
